This is a two-day outing on two different sections of the Tugela River. The first is a full-day outing above Spioenkop Dam and the second day below it.
Day 1 – Tugela River Above Spioenkop Dam
Although situated on the lesser known sections of the Tugela River, this piece of river offers more than enough white water action for all levels of experience. The rapids here are surprisingly big, fast, continuous and friendly, ranging from Class 1 to 3+ rapids. You will be seeing areas of the Tugela few people do, and we intend to keep it that way.
Day 2 – Tugela River Below Spioenkop Dam
Start just below the Skietdrift site where the Voortrekkers first entered KwaZulu-Natal. This features steep, technical and high quality rapids (Class 1-5).
