Join us for the annual Ghost Walk up Talana hill in the footsteps of the British soldiers from 1899. Battlefields have seen much trauma and the ghosts of the soldiers of the past definitely walk upon these blood drenched fields.
Enjoy sherry and bully beef sandwiches on the plateau of Talana hill as you await the anniversary ghosts and listen to the tales of the past and the present.
“Night at the Museum” Talana Museum style – come meet our story telling ghosts. Experience life in the Boer, British and Voortrekker camps and in the museum which comes to life after dark.

Enjoy “Conversation with our ghosts” and a sing-a-long in the Boer camp.

Military encampments and demonstrations of “Red Coat” battle tactics.
Sign up and “join the army” Learn basic drill, how to handle your weapon, fire and movement tactics from the Victorian era. Earn your discharge certificate.
Battle of Talana re-enactment will take place this year up the slopes of Talana hill.
“Wheels Thru Time” Vintage and veteran cars, motor cycles, Steam engines
Miniature train on rails. Enjoy the rides.
Sunset parade and lowering of flags in cemetery. Piper and bugler.
Saturday evening MOTH Shellhole museum and pub will be open for fellowship.
SUNDAY 22nd October 2018: 9:30 – 11:30
9:00 Battle of Talana – guided walk and talk across the battlefield and the museum exhibits.
11:30 Guided walk and talk tour through the Glass gallery with the origins of glass making and the Dundee history of glass production.
Breakfast bar – come out to Talana Museum and enjoy breakfast in the grounds. Relax, let the kids ride the train, enjoy the stalls and stay for lunch.
