Bring your own rods or rent rods from Clarens Fishing. Bring sufficient clothing that is suitable for all weather. Please note that we fish in all weather, except in heavy rain and during thunderstorms (lightning). Please let us know about any special dietary requirements. No off-road vehicle needed. Self-catering accommodation except for the meals specified. Other Activities:Discover the quaint town of Clarens with its many shops and art galleries. Have a game of Putt-putt by prior arrangement (extra R40 per person). We also offer non-fishing activities for partners (Quotation on request). Points Of Interest:Golden Gate National Park (15km) Surrender Hill (10km) and Fouriesburg (35km)

A mid-week fishing break in Clarens, the Jewel of the Free State.

Arrive in Clarens in the afternoon. Check in and meet your guide. Proceed with a beer and cider tasting at Clarens Brewery, then savour some more sundowners at the Clarens Brewery (at own cost).

Day 1:
Your guide will collect you at the chalet and take you to the first fishing venue. After a short crash course and a cup of coffee, it’s time to start fishing. Experience a day on the river, with refreshments and a picnic lunch. Return to Clarens in the afternoon and enjoy a quiet evening in town.

Day 2:
After a hearty breakfast, leave for the next fishing venue, where you will enjoy a few hours fishing with your guide. Refreshments will be served. Return to Clarens in the early afternoon and spend a leisurely few hours discovering the charm of the village. Dinner (not included) and night in Clarens.

Day 3:
Check out around 10am and drive home.
