Kamberg Nature Reserve

N3 Gateway / Kamberg Nature Reserve

Kamberg Nature Reserve, with its comfortably picturesque Resort lies in the central part of the Maloti Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site, proclaimed in 1951 the reserve derives its name from a nearby mountain shaped like a rooster’s comb. The surrounding is rich in San or Bushman history with Game Pass Shelter walk to the paintings as the main attraction as well as trout fishing in the dams throughout the year. The Mooi River runs through the nature reserve adding significantly to the Kamberg experience as it offers a satisfying sense of peace and quiet, combining with the feeling of being completely away from it all.
