Based at All Out Adventures in the Northern Drakensberg, Drakensberg Mountain Bike Trails is a trail system. Drakensberg Mountain Bike Trails in KwaZulu-Natals unspoilt Northern Drakensberg, offers some of the most spectacular mountain bike riding in South Africa. With over 100km of marked and mapped trail, this unique trail system links many of the resorts in the area,allowing guests the convenience of accessing the trails right from their accommodation venues. The trail system is based at All Out Adventures, and offers routes for all ability levels. The trails are marked according to the International MTB Association Grading system, making it easy for riders to plan their routes. Most of the routes are on purpose built single track, with wide flowing trails on the easier routes,to breath taking climbs and technical downhill for the die-hards. Trail builders have gone beyond the call of duty with the provision of sturdy bridges to keep riders on their bikes as they traverse the tricky mountain streams. The three most popular trails are the technical Grotto Trail (27km), intermediate Montusi Gorge Trail (17km) and the easier Gypsys Bend Trail (10km). Riders may purchase a day pass or a pass that is valid for their whole stay in the area. Each pass comes with a detailed map to allow riders to create their own routes.
